Why Cadillac isn't using as many Ferrari F1 parts as it could
New F1 entrant Cadillac has deliberately chosen not to take the maximum number of listed parts available from Ferrari, despite being a customer team. While the General Motors-backed outfit uses Ferrari power units and the Scuderia's gearbox internals, it has opted to design its own suspension, hydraulics, and several other components in-house. The strategy reflects Cadillac's long-term vision of becoming a fully independent constructor when its own GM engine arrives in 2029.
